Courtland Benson CANADA (07/05/2011) "I really liked this place as it was very clean and very quiet. It looks out onto a garden so no noise from the street. It's very central, I walked everywhere. I would stay here again. The owner lives upstairs but I never saw her after our initial meeting. She was very helpful in ensuring I had everything I needed."

Michael Goddard United Kingdom (06/17/2011) "Really lovely little apartment, clean and well furnished. Appreciated the little yard at the back of the apartment in the very hot (yes really) Amsterdam sunshine. We were only 2 people and it was just right for us, I think it would be a bit snug if 4 people were staying there. Very good location, close enough to the centre to walk to. Quiet street. We hired bikes and there was space to leave them in the corridor inside the apartment building. I would recommend this apartment highly, especially for 2 people. A real home from home."

Fintan Browne IRELAND (05/19/2011) "Having stayed on a boat the last couple of times I visited I decided to try this small studio apartment on the Kerkstraat. I really liked it: terrific location, in a really impressive residential street, close to the parts of Amsterdam I like most. Quirky design with an open-plan mezzanine floor. Very nice landlady too."

Cynthia Clark United States of Amerika (05/06/2011) "We absolutely loved this apartment. It had everything we needed, including a full kitchen, which is rare in Amsterdam! Was in a quiet but very nice area and we could walk to the museums and the Dam in easy time and the tram was great. Grocery store and wonderful bakery on our corner and our landlady was very accomodating. Our beds were comfortable, plenty of hot water and lots of light with a patio and great garden backyard. Place to stash our bikes inside was a nice feature. HIGHLY recommend this apartment for a couple or family with child as there is a nice loft with 2 beds and the bath. For the price it cannot be beat in central Amsterdam and we know because we looked for many days last November to find a nonsmoking, full kitchen, inexpensive, centrally located place."

Stephen Kwan United States of Amerika (11/01/2010) "the apt. was very clean and spacious. The LL was very nice and helpful when asked about things re: apt. The location is great! Close to the tram and grocery store. Not in a touristy area. Would definitely use this apt. again for my next visit!"

Simon Berridge AUSTRALIA (10/02/2010) "Our family of 4 (including 2 children) had a great time in this apartment for 5 nights. The pictures were an accurate representation and the garden out the back was an unusual treat in central Amsterdam. Location was excellent and we were able to walk everywhere. Major tram stop, supermarket and restaurants at the end of the street added to the convenience. Plenty of room in the hallway to keep bikes if you rent them and really quiet at night as the room faces away from the road. Canal was 150 metres away. Kids loved the mezzanine level Melbourne Australia"

Kristin White United States of Amerika (07/02/2010) "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely apartment. The quiet neighborhood is convenient to everything. Four of us were quite comfortable, and the garden out back was very pretty. We would certainly go back. The only minor negative was that the bathroom was a bit more open than we were used to. "

Marie Whitbread United Kingdom (05/05/2010) "This is a well positoned, charactful studio with lots going for it. Comfy bed and sofa, a light and pleasing living space, good shower and well equiped kitchen area. The street is attractive and mellow, and the flat itself is very peaceful indeed as it's at the back of the building. The area is a canal strolling, bike dodging, beer supping, people watching heaven. Enjoy!"

Claire Caminade United Kingdom (04/20/2010) "The studio is really lovely. To my opinion, pictures on the website do not do it justice : it really looks better and much bigger in reality than in pictures. It is built up on 2 levels : first level is the main room with an open plan kitchen, a lounge, a dining space (with a beautiful wooden table) and the double bed wich is very large (I would think king size probabily). On the second level, there is the shower room with the toilets and 2 additional separate beds which are really comfy and ideal for kids or even adults. Also there is a large corridor where you can safely keep your rental bikes during the night. The location is also very good as the apartment is equally distant to the Rijk Museum and to Dam Square. Basically, all the main attractions of Amsterdam are reachable within 5-10 minutes walk or 3 minutes bike. The apartment is located in an absolutely charming and quiet street and just 100 meters away from a typical and lovely Amsterdam canal with nice restaurants and bars. There is a supermarket open until very late right at the corner of the street. And the last but not the least is definitely the owner. She is very nice and helpful as without her precious hints, we would still be in trouble trying to find a way to get to the UK following the closure of Amsterdam airport. I would come back anytime to this appartment and would definitely recommed it. "
